[Quantum-ms] IMPORTANT: CPT Work Authorization for Summer 2025 Internships

Dear Students,

If you hold a F-1 visa, please note that *you will be eligible to
receive CPT work authorization for Summer 2025 as long as you maintain full
time status for 2 consecutive semesters (Fall 2024 and Spring 2025)*.

*Summer internships* are full time (*40 hours a week*) and must be at least *8
weeks in length*.

If you engage in a *Fall 2025 internship*, you must apply again for CPT
since authorization is granted on a per semester basis. Fall
internships are part time (*20 hours a week*) and must be *virtual* unless
the company is located in NY, NJ or CT (Connecticut).

*I will begin reviewing and processing CPT requests for Summer 2025
internships in March (details will be provided at the start of the spring
semester). Please also note that once approved for CPT, you are required to
register for the fieldwork course, E6999 for 1.0 credit. A max of 2 credits
can be counted towards the degree.*
