Dear Friends and Colleagues in the Electrical Engineering department,

The Engineering Graduate Student Council (EGSC) is proud to present to you
the Department Representatives (DR) of Fall 2024! DRs are the backbone of
EGSC and are critical for connecting EGSC, department
administrations/leaderships, and all SEAS graduate students!

Our DRs will request your assistance in sharing important info and
soliciting student feedback using departmental listservs, as well as
organizing meetings with faculty and administration to discuss feedback and
steps to address it. Topics may vary from academic programming, facilities,
DEI, and many more.

As members of EGSC, DRs and the Executive Board members are eager to work
with you all to promote students' academic, professional, and social lives
during and beyond Columbia.

Lastly, we hope for EGSC to be invited to any open houses or visit days for
prospective MS and PhD students. This would entail 5-10 minutes for myself
and the VP Thomas (cc'd) to introduce ourselves and talk about student life
in SEAS. We hope to introduce prospective students to the social life and
support network they would be a part of and motivate their decision to
choose Columbia and become active members of our community. We hope this is
feasible and kindly request you to share the dates of any upcoming
session(s) for Fall 2024.
