Dear Students,

We are very excited to welcome you back!

As we enter the Spring 2025 semester, we have noted some important
information and reminders below:

The Change of Program Period: January 21 - January 31

Please remember that there are no partial refunds granted for individual
course drops; partial refunds may only be granted if a student withdraws
from the entire semester and removes all of their class registration for
the term (based on the Registrar’s withdrawal refund schedule
<https://www.registrar.columbia.edu/content/refund-rate-withdrawals>).

Registration requirements and important rules

   -

When registering, make sure to follow the rules/requirements which are
summarized in the checklist for those that are EE MS
   https://sites.ee.columbia.edu/sites/default/files/content/

   <https://sites.ee.columbia.edu/sites/default/files/content/pics/MSEEChecklist.20210325.pdf>
, for those that are CE MS
   https://compeng.columbia.edu/sites/default/files/content/pdf/CE-MS-Program-Checklist.pdf
and
   for the Quantum MS
   https://www.ee.columbia.edu/sites/default/files/content/Quantun%20MS%20Program%20Checklist%202024%20Fall.pdf
. any questions you may have, please email us at
   ee-studentaffairs at ee.columbia.edu
   -

You can register for up to 15 credits per semester. Note that a normal
load for full-time students is 12 credits. Students on a student visa must
carry the full load in every semester (full load is 12 credits except
in the last semester when it can be less).
   -

Note that EE MS students MUST, within their first 24 credits, complete
at least 12 points within the EE department. Both pure EE classes (ELEN) as
well as cross-listed EE classes (designators like CSEE, EECS, BMEB, ECBM,
EEOR, or EEME) count towards this requirement.

If you have any questions, please contact the EE Director of Student
Affairs, Elsa Sanchez (ee-studentaffairs at ee.columbia.edu

Best Regards,

Elsa
